Research unit specialized in the socio-anthropological analysis of technology

The goal of the EXTENDER project is to develop innovative control interfaces to enable people with disabilities to operate the ORTHOPUS Explorer installed on their wheelchair.
The idea is to transfer academic expertise developed in research laboratories and adapt it to the autonomy needs of people with limited mobility. Several control interfaces will be tested with users.

For EXTENDER, ORTHOPUS is the winner of the Défi Transfert Robotique call for projects, a France2030 programm supported by the ANR (French National Research Agency) and Bpifrance – Reference ANR-23-DMRO-0022.
